Born in Tidaholm, Sweden and arrived at Ellis Island on November 20, 1903. They were passengers on the ship Carpathia which sailed from Liverpool, England. Son of Carl(Frederick) and Amanda Sandberg Lundgren, brother of William, Charles, Dorothy and Helen. Married Mabel Cartwright in 1922, father of two sons,(the late) Frederick Lundgren, Thomas Lundgren, and four daughters, the late (Dorothy) "Elsie" Laurencell, the late Patricia Oldfield, Elizabeth Dehler and Ruth Mitchell, both of Long Island, NY.
