Everett Bachner

Everett (Beck) Bachner, 75, of 175 North Third Ave., Middleport, died Sunday, June 9, 1991, at his residence.

Born on Nov. 28, 1915 at Rutland, he was the son of Ray Bachner and Ida Murray Bachner. For many years Mr. Bachner and his wife, the late Kathryn Bachner, operated a grocery store in Middleport.

He was a member of the Middleport Presbyterian Church. A Veteran of World War II, he was a member of Feeney-Bennett Post 128, American Legion. For many years he was a volunteer with the Middleport Fire Department.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Donald Brown, Columbus, and Connie and Ronald Thompson, New Haven, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Chris, Stacey and Theresa Brown, Columbus, and Sam and Elizabeth Thompson, New Haven; and a brother, Jack Bachner, Middleport.

Besides his parents and his wife, Mr. Bachner was preceded in death by two brothers, Elbert and Eugene.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ewing Funeral Home. Mr. James H. Lewis will officiate and burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Middleport.

There will be no visitation.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
