Bernice Taul, age 76 of Harned, KY died Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born in Breckinridge County on January 3, 1935, the daughter of the late Milton & Lucy Catherine Bland Hinton. She was a retired owner of Galante Studio, member of New Clover Creek Baptist Church, Hardinsburg chapter #448 of Order of Eastern Star, UMW Westview charge and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed sewing, camping, traveling and working puzzles. She was preceded in death by her grandson: Charles Homer Taul III, great-grandson: Brian Lee Harned, brothers: James Cyril "Bud" Hinton, Denver Leo Hinton & Thomas Gilbert Hinton; sisters: Mary Susan Keifer & Martha Ann Hinton. Bernice is survived by her husband Charlie Taul of Harned, KY; 6 children: Sue Kiper (Donnie) and Annette Flores of Kingswood, KY, Chuck Taul (Cheryl) of Westview, KY, Debbie Farley (Scott) of Crestwood, KY, Tracy Wilson of Elizabethtown, KY, Jamie Taul (Donna) of Stamping Ground, KY; 2 brothers: Bill Hinton of Kirk, KY and Joe Hinton of Louisville, KY; 1 sister: Louise Roach of Hardinsburg, KY; 16 grandchildren: Doni Carroll O'Donoghue (Brian), Sheradan Smiley (Larry), Jesse and Jessica Kiper, Bradley Scott and Jon David Dowell, Jenny Ford (Jeffrey), Mike Harned (Jessica), Scott Harned (Dana), George Daniel, Harrison Cole, Joseph, Dylan & Justin Taul, Chelsea Catherine Farley and Dakota "Cody" Wilson; 15 great-grandchildren: Eamon & Nyah O'Donoghue, Alex, Caleb, Braydon, Darrison, Gavin & Emma Grace Dowell, Caleb Mattingly, Brooke & Ethan Ford, Jared & Delaney Harned, Chris & Karlie Gardner. Extended family: Tom & Tommie Priest, Charmaine & Tommy Mattingly, Terry Bruce & Myrna Priest. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 1 p.m. at New Clover Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Harness, Bro. Mac Sosh and Bro. Murray Stevenson Jr. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation on Friday 3:30-8 p.m. at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home and Saturday after 10 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions are requested to: Breckinridge County Relay for Life or to church missions in care of the family.
