Wilma M. Clark, 79, South Whitley, died at 5:25 a.m. Saturday (May 22, 1999) at Miller's Merry Manor, Columbia City. Mrs. Clark lived in rural Roanoke as a young child, and for most of her adult years resided in Whitley County.

She was a cook, working at the Willow Tree Inn in southern Whitley County; S&L Truck Stop, Columbia City; and the Ten Pin Restaurant, Columbia City. She attended New Haven Schools, New Haven. She was a member of the South Whitley United Methodist Church, South Whitley.

She was born April 3, 1920 in New Haven to Emmet and Emma Stute Love. Her first marriage was to Robert Hyser, who preceded in death. Her second marriage was to Alfius Clark, who preceded in death. Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Dale Hyser, Pierceton, and Richard Emmet Hyser, Chicago; three daughters, Beverly Ann Brandom and Barbara J. LaLone, both of Columbia City; and Liana Lynn Clevenger, Collamer; three brothers, Robert Love and Roger Love, both of New Haven; and Jerry Love, of Townley; two sisters, Gloria Lothamer, New Haven, and Patricia Castle, Monroeville; 23 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding in death were a son, Donald Eugene Love; two sisters, Annabelle Wells and Helen Kees; four brothers, Walter Love, Richard Harold Love, Grover Love and Emmet Charles Love Jr.; and a great-grandchild.

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, Columbia City, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with Dr. August W. Lundquist officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood IOOF, Roanoke. Preferred memorials are to the American Cancer Society.Her surname was Clark when she passed.
