Edward H. Alman, 85, of Vacaville CA died at Veterans' Administration Hospital in Martinez CA after a long illness. A native of Burlingame KS, Mr. Alman lived in Vacaville the past six years. He served in the US Army during World War I and was a retired fire chief who served in Glendale for 36 years.
He is survived by two daughters, Dee Alman of Vacaville and Doreene Alman of Pleasant Hill; two sisters, May Jolly of Charlotte NC, and Ruth Lovell of Manhattan KS; a brother, Charles Alman of Walnut Creek CA; two grandchildren, eight great-grandchldren and one great-great-grandchild.
