Funeral service for Carmen E. Sharp of Ada, OK will be 2:00 pm Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada, OK. Interment will follow at Center Cemetery west of Ada. Officiating will be Rev. Larry Montgomery. Ms. Sharp died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the Ada Care Center in Ada, OK at the age of 95. She was born September 20, 1915 in Center, OK to Galloway Bond and Mittie Seal Bond. Ms. Sharp attended Vanoss Public Schools while growing up. She had attended the First Freewill Baptist Church of Ada in the past. She had been involved in various activities such as, helping in organizing the volunteer auxiliary at Carl Albert Indian Hospital, she belonged to the V.F.W. Auxiliary and had served several terms as president, she belonged to the Rebekah Lodge serving as Grand Noble, and she enjoyed being a member of the Chickasaw Cats Band while attending the senior site. She also loved being around her family. Ms. Sharp is survived by one son, Clyde London of Tucson, AZ; two sisters, Alice Phillips of Ada, OK and Cleta Fair of Texas; three grandsons, Larry, Gary, and Murphy London; eleven great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Galloway Bond and Mittie Bond Dyer; two brothers, Raymond and Curtis Bond; and one sister, Oleta Willingham. Under the direction of Smith-Phillips Funeral Home - Ada, OK.
