Earl Leon Bowlden, age 70, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away March 1, 1991.

He was born December 22, 1920 in Gannett, Idaho to James LaVell and Martha Clark Bowlden. On January 24, 1946, he married Audrey Roper in Midvale, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Leon's activities in the LDS Church included High Priest, Scoutmaster and Financial Clerk in the Midvale 2nd Ward. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving in the Navy. He loved the outdoors, and hunting and fishing with his sons. The time spent with his family was enjoyable and important to him. Leon was a hard worker and he took great pride in his skills as a brick mason.

Survivors: wife, Audrey, Midvale; sons, Val and wife, Pam, Midvale; Kim and wife, Donna, Orem; seven grandchildren, Krista, Michael, Nathan, Gina, Kelli, Susan and Tyson; brothers and sisters, Wayne, Burt, Mark, Ruth Frederickson and Mrs. Heber (Ione) Rich, all Idaho.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5, 1991, at 1:00 p.m. in the Midvale Utah LDS Stake Center, 425 Jackson St. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State on Monday 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment, Midvale City Cemetery.
