..Ruth Helen Ramsey, 78, formerly of the Cottonwood Estates, Uniontown, Kan., died Saturday, Dec. 24, 1994, at the Marmaton Valley Rest Home, Uniontown. She was born Oct. 5, 1916, in Uniontown, the daughter of Benjamin Adelbert "Deb" and Anga Belle Britton Rogers. She was raised on a farm three miles south of Uniontown, where she lived most of her adult life. She married Paul Wayne Ramsey, April 21, 1936, in Nevada, Mo. He died Nov. 6, 1986.
..Mrs. Ramsey worked as a cook for any years at the Uniontown and Redfield schools and at the Marmaton Valley Rest Home before her retirement. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church, Uniontown.
..Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ruth Graham, Bronson, Kan.; one son, Leonard R. Ramsey, Uniontown; five sisters, Imo Salmon, Hiatville, Kan., Doratha Ramsey, Overland Park, Kan., Anna May Ramsey; a twin sister, Mary E. Ramsey, and Waneta McKinnis, all of Uniontown; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Livian Rogers and G. K. "Doc" Rogers.
..Rev Jim Chrisman conducted funeral services Wednesday, December 28, 10:30 a.m. at the First Missionary Baptist Church, Uniontown, under the direction of Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.
