Earl Nass of Westville NJ passed away on Tuesday September 28, 2010 in the Thomas Jefferson Hospital Phila. Pa at the age of 78. He was born on November 30, 1931 in Barnegat Light NJ to Andrew and Aasta Nass nee (Strand). ). Earl was raised as a son of a Norwegian fisherman and spent his early years helping the local fisherman at Barnegat Light docks.

Earl Nass was a 37 year member of the Westville Lions Club, actively participating in many Club
and District activities and serving in many Club offices, including as Club President (1977- 78)
and Club Treasurer and Sight Committee Chairman for the past 25 years. Earl also served as
Lions District 16C Cabinet Treasurer, Deputy District Governor for Region 2. and on the Board
of Trustees of the District 16C Charitable Foundation from its inception in 1996 until earlier this
year, including service as Foundation Treasurer most of that period. Earl was honored by his
Club and the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) by presenting him with a Melvin
Jones Fellowship in 2008. He was also an exempt member of the old Union Fire Company of Westville. He worked for RCA Company of in Cherry Hill as a computer programmer for 20 years and then worked in sales for surveying equipment until he retired. He was a member of the NJ Society of Professional Land Surveyor's. (NJSPLS)

Earl was predeceased by his beloved wife Florence "Bunny" who passed in 2004. He is survived by two loving daughters Chris {Dennis} Krutzler of St Petersburg Florida, Kim {Mike} Colgan of Mt. Ephraim NJ, two sisters Louise DiMedio of W. Berlin NJ and Vivian DiMassimo of Ocean City NJ , 3 grand children David, Rosemary, and Michael, and fondly remembered by 8 nephews.

Earl was an avid supporter of his grandchildren's sporting activities (bowling, ice hockey, field hockey, softball and baseball). His other interests included NASCAR Racing (#1 fan of #3 Dale Earnhardt Sr), puzzles, and boating in Maryland for many years.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday evening 7:00 - 9:00PM at the Ellis-Stiefel Funeral Home 301 Highland Ave. Westville NJ. Services will be conducted Saturday by Rev. Gary Brennan 10:30 AM at the funeral home where friends may call after 9:30AM. Interment will be at the Eglington Cemetery Clarksboro, NJ directly following services.
