Allan A. MacDonald, 95, Bridgewater, died May 24, 1995, at home. Born in Judique, he was a son of the late John A. and Christine (Campbell) MacDonald. He retired after 50 years service as the freight agent, Canadian National Railways office in Bridgewater. He was one of the original members of St. Joseph's Parish in Bridgewater and over the years was active in parish affairs. He was a charter member of the Bridgewater Senior Citizens Club. He was a recipient of the Canada 125th. Medal. Surviving are his daughter, Pauline (Mrs. Ed Fitzpatrick), Halifax; son, Dr. J. Vernon MacDonald, New Glasgow; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Dan, Melrose, Mass.; Allie, Mamoth, Mass. He was predeceased by his wife,the former Sophia MacDonell; several brothers; a sister. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today; prayers 7:30 p.m. tonight, both in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, Bridgewater. Burial in parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Parish, Bridgewater.
