AUTO ACCIDENT CLAIMS LIVES
OF TWO CALHOUN MEN
David Reno Haire and Harley Lee Tallent were both killed instantly in an automobile accident early Saturday morning about 2 miles North of Houston, Miss. on Highway 15, when the car driven by Mr. Haire hit a bridge.
Harley Lee (Skinner) Tallent, age 19, was a resident of Route one, Vardaman, Miss., having been born in Calhoun County, Miss. He was a wood Worker.
His parents are Mrs. Loudine Moore Tallent and the late J. J. Tallent
Besides his mother he leaves three sisters: Peggy, Mary and Judy Tallent, all of Vardaman, Miss.; three brothers: Harold, Charlie and James Earl Tallent, all of Vardaman, Miss.; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary Ellen Adams Tallent of Pittsboro, Miss. and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Moore of Vardaman, Miss.
Funerals services were held on Monday morning, May 2, 1966 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Rev. Bane Alexander officiated, assisted by Rev. Sherman Adams. The interment was in the church cemetery under the direction of Antony Funeral Home of Vardaman, Miss.
