The funeral will be 3 p.m. today in Rose Hill Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Mayer's Georgetown Chapel, will be in the churchyard.
Mr. Altman was born in Georgetown County, a son of Edward Jackson Altman and Maggie Corine Williams Altman. He was a 1933 graduate of Old Union High School. He was an active hunter and fisherman. He was a member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Adult Sunday school class and the Over Sixty Fellowship.
Surviving are a son, Clinton J. Altman Jr. of Atlanta; a daughter, Patti A. Childress of Charleston; three sisters, Sally A. Dingle, Ina A. Redmond and Jackie A.
