Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Griffin Funeral Home Chapel for John E. Covington, 79, who died Monday morning at Memorial Hospital
The Rev. J. T. Davis, assisted by Rev. James McKee, will have charge of the service. Interment will be in the Dresden cemetery.
He was born in Dalton, Gal, and was a retired employe of the Dallas Foundry. He was a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Tennie Covington of Corsicana; two brothers, James Covington of Corsicana and Tucker Covington of Purdon; three sisters, Mrs. Ella Coffey of Corsicana, Mrs. Annie Ward of Levelland, and Mrs. Willie Steffin of Houston; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Melton, Duane Yates, Johnnie Covington, James W. Covington, Elton Thompson, Walter Steffin and Billy Covington.
