Tuscola (RNS) - Levi HEFLEY, 85, of Lawn, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at Hendrick Memorial Hospital after a six week illness.
Funeral will be Tuesday at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Lawn with the Rev. Robert ELKINS of Brownwood and the Rev. F. R. COLE of Abilene officiating.
Burial will be in the Dewey Cemetery under the direction of Fry Funeral Home of Tuscola.
Mr. HEFLEY was born Oct. 17, 1885, in Lexington, Tenn. He moved to Texas in 1905 and lived in south Taylor County since that time.
He married Lessie Lorene PATTERSON Feb. 12, 1911 at Lawn. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Lawn First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Lee WILLIS of Lawn and Mrs. Cassie IVEY of Tuscola; one son, Doyle of Lawn; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. Tennie ALLRED of California, Mrs. Jess PATTERSON, Mrs. Lessie CANNON, Mrs. Estes ZIMMERLEE and Mrs. Exie HAYNES, all of Lawn, and Mrs. Ethel LeFLEUR of El Paso; and one brother, Stanley of Lawn.
Pallbearers will be Ralph HOWARD, Walter JOHNSON, Van WILLIS, Bert PRESLAR, Virgil RIDDLE, and Herbert POOR. Honorary pallbearers will be Bailey JOHNSON, Jessel EDWARDS, Earl RICHIE, and Bayne MILLER.
