William Henry Walker was the son of Osbirn William and Christina Henkle Walker. He was the grandson of John Walker (Sr.), Revolutionary War Veteran, Battle of King's Mountain, No. Carolina. His great-grandfather was Col. John Walker, Rev War Patriot who owned the 400 acre plantation where the Battle of King's Mountain was fought. He married Emily Elizabeth DeLappe, November 14, 1844 in Cape Gerardeau County, Missouri. Their children included: Thomas O.; Mary; John; Cicero Cevarious; Willis; and S. Gaines Walker [U.S. Federal Census Records, 1870, Cinque Hommes Twp., Perry County, Missouri.]
