BENNETT, RALPH J.
Former logger Ralph J. Bennett, 74, of Cherryvale, died Friday (Jan. 29, 1988) in St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
He was born Nov. 1, 1913, in Coyville to James F. and Flora M. (Usrey) Bennett.
On June 28, 1938, he married Erna M. Lacey.
Mr. Bennett was a retired, self-employed logger and a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth, Charles and Raymond, all of Cherryvale; two daughters, Jackie Lindquist and Sharon Bennett, both of Cherryvale; three brothers, Homer of Drexel, Mo., and Ace and Estel, both of Neodesha; two sisters, Ada Rutt and Elva Wilson, both of Drexel; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Timmons Funeral Home Chapel, Fredonia, with burial in Fredonia City Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the Ronald McDonald House of Wichita or the First Southern Baptist Church, Cherryvale.
