Miss Harriette Bloch, 69, well known resident of Monroe, died early last night at the home of a sister, Mrs. Clara Kern, with whom she had made her home at 1104 North Third street.

Miss Bloch, sister of the late Jake Bloch of Monroe, had been a resident of Monroe for about 50 years. She was born April 19, 1873, at Port Gibson, Miss.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. kern and Mrs. Rose Thomson of Oakland, Calif.; two nephews, Nathan Kern and Joe Kern of Monroe; a niece, Miss Novie Kern of Monroe; a grand nephew, Joseph N. Kern, and a great niece, Mary Lou Kern.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 5 o'clock at the Kern residence with Rabbi F. K. Hirsch of Temple B'Nai Israel officiating. Interment will follow in the Jewish cemetery here. Peters Funeral service of Monroe has charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Hessel Chan, Charlie Eichel, Sidney Kahn, Hugh Lennon, Joe Kusin and Joe McCormick.
