Helen is survived by her daughter Marjorie (Richard) Sieb of Monroe; two grandchildren: Robert (Debra) Sieb of Monroe, Sheryl Sieb of Monroe and three great grandchildren: Brandon Sieb, Brock Sieb and Shane (Ashley) Sieb. She is also survived by two step great grandchildren: Brad (Ashley) Scott, Craig Scott; a great great grandchild: Ella Rose Sieb and two step great great grandchildren: Tanner Scott and Audra Scott. Helen will also be missed by her special friend at the Lutheran Home, "Miss Abbie" the cat. In addition to her husband and parents, Helen was preceded in death by a sister Susie Kenyon, a grandchild and a great grandchild.

Helen A. Schwartz July 5, 1910-Jan. 26, 2011

Helen A. Schwartz, age 100 of Monroe, died at 8:35am Wednesday at the Lutheran Home.

Friends may call from 1pm until 8pm Friday at the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E. Elm Ave., where funeral services will be at 10:00am Saturday. Rev. John Schinkel, Chaplain of the Lutheran Home will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Adrian.

Born July 5, 1910 in Detroit, Helen was the daughter of Clyde & Elizabeth (Steir) Pixley. She married Franklin G. Schwartz on November 26, 1930. Sadly he preceded her in death January 22, 1989. A graduate of Adrian High School, Helen was a Cosmetologist and owned Schwartz's Beauty Shop in Monroe from 1924 until her retirement in 1985.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church as well as the Monroe and Frenchtown Senior Citizens.
