Miller Laid to Rest in Iota Tuesday P.M.
Was prominent citizen and rice farmer there for 38 years.
Funeral services for J. B. Miller, 64, of Iota, brother of Emile Miller of Eunice, died at his home in that town at 5:30 Tuesday morning after an illness of pneumonia, were conducted Tuesday at 6 p.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota. Interment was in the catholic cemetery.
Besides his widow, who was Miss Alice Miller before their marriage, the deceased is survived by two sons, Eddie Miller of Iota, Eugene Miller of Shreveport and One granddaughter, Mrs. Henry Inglsky of Crowley and one grandson, Garner Rowe Miller of Shreveport ;four brothers, Coe Miller of Iota, Joe Miller of Faiquetaique, Emile Miller of Eunice and Bick Miller of Evangeline.
Deceased had been ill for four years and recently developed pneumonia from which he died.
He was born in the Prairie Hayes section of Acadia Parish and had resided in Iota for 38 years, engaging in farming and became one of the better known rice farmers of that section.
