Mary was the 9th and last child of Michael Sisler (b.1740, d.1807) and Rachel Pence (b.1763, d.1840); Her parents were both in Lancaster Co., PA and they both died in Bedford Co., PA.

Mary's siblings were: William H., John, Peter Pence, Michael Jr., Elizabeth, Ester Harriet, George and Catherine Sisler.

Her date of birth was calculated from her original tombstone inscription recorded in the cemetery records during an inventory taken during 1970.

She married James Patton I on 30 Mar 1820 in Bedford Co., PA and they had 10 children they named: Rachel, Mary E, Isabella, ?, James, Elizabeth, John, Abner, Samuel Jack and Josiah Patton.

The Butler Co., PA historical society has records of their burial in this cemetery taken in 1970. They also say a "Infant Child" was buried with them with no marker, name, etc.

A search for her grave marker during July 2011 did not find her gravestone. Today this cemetery is in a wooded brushy area. The search found only 4 markers and 3 were legible. None had the name Patton.
