Margaret Lucille Gaither, 85, passed away in her home in Atwater on October 28, 2002. She was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on August 1, 1917. Margaret came to the Central Valley from Arkansas in 1930, where her father purchased fifty acres of peach orchards and a Victorian home in Atwater. She and her husband Lloyd later purchased the property from her father in 1946.
