Major League Baseball Player. Premier American League base-stealer during the late '30's and 1940's. Played for the Washington Senators from 1937-1945, 1947 and Cleveland Indians 1946. Led the American League with steals 6 times (5 were in a row), and was named to 4 All-Star teams.
