Funeral services for Ruth Biggerstaff, 78, of Celina, Texas were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 1992, at First Baptist Church in Celina with the Rev. Bryan Wait and the Rev. Glenn Vickers officiating. Interment was in Old Celina Cemetery under the direction of
Cantrell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Biggerstaff died Monday, April 6th, 1992 at the Vintage Nursing Center
in Denton, Texas. She was born August 17, 1913 in Frisco, Texas the daughter of Garrette and Anna Caroline (Sonntag) Antwiler. She and B. L. Biggerstaff were married in 1932 in Durant, Oklahoma.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Celina, a long time MacDowell Music Club Member, a Chamber of Commerce member, a band booster and a member of the Federated Members Clubs of Texas, and a charter member of the Texas State Florist association. Survivors are three sons, Jim F. Biggerstaff of Plano, Texas, Mike Biggerstaff of Sadler, Texas and Jack Biggerstaff of Sanger, Texas; one brother, Earl Antwiler of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Sadie Ball of Fort Worth, Texas and Lucille Williams of Dallas, Texas; five grandchildren, Leslee Biggerstaff of Dallas, Texas, Finley Biggerstaff of Houston, Texas, Ashley Biggerstaff of Plano, Texas, John Biggerstaff of Frisco, Texas and Frank Biggerstaff of Sadler, Texas.
