She was born Feb. 28, 1949, in Watertown to Joseph and Edith (Hayes) Beasley. She attended Portland District 32 Rural School and later transferred to Revillo School. Following school, she moved to Watertown and raised her family. She worked at various jobs including food service and housekeeping.
She enjoyed going to the concerts at the Salvation Army, bingo, rummage sales and getting around town on her scooter.
Survivors include one son, DeWayne (Julie) Beasley of Dell Rapids; one daughter, Peggy (Martin) Alvarado of Bruce; five grandchildren; five brothers, Lee Beasley and Dale Beasley, both of Sioux City, IA, Vince (Claudia) Beasley of VA, Larry (Evelyn) Beasley of Indianapolis, IN and John (Donna) Beasley of Watertown; and three sisters, Jewel Weidendorf of Pipestone, MN, Linda (Jerry) Jacobson of Albion, NE, and Susan (Rich) Beynon of Jasper, MN.
