Joan was a member of the Eagles Club in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, crossword puzzles, shopping, and Bingo.
Joan died March 15, 2010 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester following a brief illness. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Masonville, Iowa by Rev. John Flaherty. Burial was in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Masonville, Iowa.
Joan was survived by four siblings, two aunts, and many nieces and nephews. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Whitey" Sellers in 2008; her parents; and two brothers, Bill and Bob.
