Henry Solis Abbate, age 72, of Atascosa, passed away on November 13, 2004 at home. He was born May 3, 1932 in San Antonio, TX to the late Joseph and Adelina Solis Abbate.

He also preceded in death by sisters, Josephine Garcia and Cecilia Chaney; brothers and David Abbate. He is survived by his wife, Marietta Rubio Abbate of Atascosa, TX; daughter and son-in-law, Guadalupe and Pedro De Leon of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Jimmy De Leon, Rebecca Isabel Acosta and her husband Joel and Audrey Zapata and her husband Joe; 4 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Sam and Annita Abbate of Hayward, CA, Raymond and Chelo Abbate of San Antonio, TX, and Gaspar and Julia Abbate of Oakland, CA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Charlie Guzman of Rio Medina, TX, Ann and Larry De Reese of San Antonio, TX, Mary Angela and Robert Siller of San Antonio, TX, and Lena and Steve Coulthard of Freemont, CA; brother-in-law, Bill Chaney of San Antonio, TX.

The Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home will be open for visitation on Monday, Nov. 15, 2004 from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm on Monday at the Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will follow the Mass at the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery in Castroville.
