She was born Dec. 11, 1917, in Bettsville, to Myrle and Mary (Shertzer) Swickard. She married Charles M. Ash Aug. 6, 1939, in Covington, Ky., and he died March 18, 2010.
She is survived by a sister, Joanne Phillips of Bettsville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Willis Swickard; and two sisters, Thelma Hahn and Geraldine Yoakum.
There is no visitation and a private funeral will take place at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, 301 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, OH 44830, (419) 435-8118. Burial is at Liberty Cemetery, near Kansas.
