Actress. She made her debut at age 10 in the made-for-television movie "The House Without a Christmas Tree" opposite Jason Robards. Her other television work includes movies "Word of Honor", with Karl Malden, "A Piano for Mrs. Cimino", with Bette Davis; and five ABC "Afterschool Specials": "The Amazing Cosmic Awareness of Duffy Moon," "Me and Dad's New Wife," "Movie Star's Daughter," "Make-Believe Marriage," and "Amy and the Angel." At age 15, made her stage debut in New York Public Theater production of John Guare's "Landscape of the Body" opposite Shirley Knight and F. Murray Abraham; she appeared shortly afterward in the Phoenix Theater production of Jack Gilhooley's "The Elusive Angel", opposite Brad Davis. Further motion pictures she appeared in include "Little Darlings" with Tatum O'Neal and Kristy McNichol; "Honkytonk Man" with Clint Eastwood; "Animal Behavior" with Armand Assante and Karen Allen (made in 1984 but not released until 1989); and "Pretty in Pink" with Molly Ringwald and Jon Cryer. On September 10, 1985, shortly after production on the latter film wrapped, she was found dead in her New York apartment. Complications of asthma was cited on her death certificate. When "Pretty in Pink" was released the following spring, it was dedicated to her memory and to that of its set decorator, Bruce Weintraub, who died on December 14, 1985.
