Thomas Searle Sr. DD Crowe is the son of John Finley, Sr. DD and Esther (Alexander) Crowe. His father added the 'e' to surname as a teen. Great Grandson of Stg. Benjamin and Ann (Gregg/Gragg) Crow.
April 24, 1844 he was united in marriage to Mary Maria Hawley. To this union 2 known children were born, both daughters, with the first passing 6 months after her mother.
May 8, 1850 he was united in marriage to Sarah E. Gelpin. To this union 7 known children were born.
1860 census they are now in Cincinnati Ward 11, Hamilton, Ohio, where he has a church.
Sometime before 1886 they are back in Indiana, Jan 1886 Sarah passed and is in this same cemetery. Their yongest child was only 2 years of age.
1870 census they are Jeffersonville Ward 1, Clark, Indiana. Most of the children are with him, since his oldest daughter Marie Hawley is caring for the home.
1871 he passed at the age of 48.
