Mattie R. Jones
Mattie Rose Jones, 94, of Greenfield died Aug. 10, 2005.
Born Aug. 25, 1910 in McCreary County, Ky., she was the daughter of William Matthew Roberts and Ollie (Abbott) Florence Foster.
She was a homemaker and a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Oaklandon.
Survivors include her sons, Boyce Jones of Coco Beach, Fla. and Floyd Jones of Ritner, Ky.; daughters, Ruth Nance of Greenfield, Joyce McCutcheon of Cumberland, Clara Jacobs of Fairland and Clova Rains of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Osburn Jones, in June 1974; three brothers; one sister; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hoyt Hickey and Son Funeral Home in Monticello, Ky. with the Rev. David Frost officiating.
Burial will follow at Abbott Cemetery in Ritner, Ky.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Pasco-Stillinger Funeral Home in Greenfield and from noon-2 p.m. Sunday at Hoyt Hickey and Son Funeral Home in Monticello, Ky.
