Arletta Emma Jensen Herron, age 95, passed away October 1, 2000 in Delta.

Born June 12, 1905 in Hibbard, Idaho to Alfred Waldemar and Emma Clay Jensen. Married Mark C. Herron April 29, 1932 in Logan. Later solemnized in Ogden LDS Temple. He died February 3, 1984.

Attended school in Hibbard and Rex-burg, Idaho at Ricks when a high school. Worked as telephone operator and inspec-tor at seed plant. After marriage lived in Los Angeles, California. Active member LDS Church, taught Primary in Manchester Ward, Los Angeles Stake many years. Usually teaching boys classes of Blazers, Trekkers and Guides. They loved her. Honored by Ward for many years of service. Moved to Hinckley in 1965 after retirement. Loved flowers and children. Honored by Salt Lake Tribune (1971) with "Special Award of Merit" for outstanding civic beautification. Children of Hinckley spent enjoyable hours at her home visiting, eating ice cream and cookies. Crocheted many afghans for little girl's dolls.

Survived by son and daughters: Craig (Barbara) Herron, Mission Viejo, California; Sandra Virgin, Atascadero, California; Gerri Taylor, Hinckley; six grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren. Preceded in death by son-in-law: Arlo Taylor; brothers: LaVon, Harold, Leonard, Glen; infant sister: Isabelle.

Funeral services Thursday October 5, 2000, 11 a.m., Hinckley 1st Ward. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary Wednesday 7-8 p.m. and at Church Thursday 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial Hinckley Cemetery.
