Sarah Mae Freeman, 91, of Clarksville died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Johnson Regional Medical Center.


She was a Baptist, daughter of the late John and Julie Murry Pruitt, widow of Clifford H. Freeman, and was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Kimerly Sue Callahan; one grandson, Roland Lynn Freeman; one great-grandson, Derek Lee Freeman; two sisters; and two brothers.


She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lenna L. and Nolan F. Hughes of Clarksville; one son, Olen E. Freeman of Clarksville; one sister, Gussie Marshall of Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Darrell and Evelyn Pruitt of California; four grandsons, Gary Hughes, Jim Hughes, Harley Freeman, and George Freeman; one granddaughter, Cynthia Diane McAlister; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.


Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at Roller-Cox Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial was in Lamar Cemetery.


Active pallbearers were Gary Hughes, Harley Freeman, Everett McAlister, Michael Page, Jim Hughes, and George Freeman.


Honorary pallbearers were Fred Freeman and Tim Freeman.
