Daughter of Charles Nordhausen & Elisa Hosrtmann.

Her mother died just weeks after her birth and her grand mother raised her.

. . . . . . . . . .
A very sad death occurred in our community last Sunday morning. Mrs. Lillie Nordhausen (nee Horstmann), after a several weeks illness of typhoid fever, died at her home about four miles from here, leaving an infant baby three weeks old. A happy home is made lonely, a sorrowing husband, mother, sisters and brothers are bereft of her sweet presence. Miss Lillie was happily married less than a year ago, which fact makes her death appear doubly sad. The remains were interred in Cameron beside her father, the late Albert Horstmann. Cameron Herald, October 27, 1904
