Deseret News, Sept. 27, 1997. Obituary: Edna Emma Jensen Pierson Montani, 80, Orem, died Thursday, September 25, 1997 at the Orem Nursing Rehabilitation Center, Orem. She was born April 27, 1917 at Salt Lake City, Utah, a daughter of Harold Howell and Martha Smith Jensen. She married Roy Pierson in 1939 in Salt Lake City. Later divorced. Married Louis Montani in 1964. He died. Edna worked as a dental technician. She was a homemaker. Granddaughter of Joseph F. Smith. Active member of the LDS Church. Served in the Primary organization. Great mother, grandmother and sister. Family express thanks and appreciation to the Orem Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care.

Survivors include a son, Charles N. (Mary) Pierson, Myton, UT; daughter, Mrs. Sondra Niezer, SLC; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Dr. Mark B. (Margaret) Jenson, Provo; Robert S. (Natali) Jenson, Vancouver, B.C.

Preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Harold S. Jenson. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, September 27, 1997 at 1 p.m. at the Salt Lake City Cemetery. Holladay Hills Funeral Home, Santaquin, UT Funeral Directors.
