Rita C. (Talarico) Gruber, 80, Reading, died Jan. 20, 2011, in Reading Hospital.
Her husband, Robert R. Gruber, died Sept. 20, 1991.
Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Carman and Conchetta (Pizzo) Talarico.
She graduated from Reading Catholic High School in 1947, and St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing in 1950.
Rita was last employed as a registered nurse for Wernersville State Hospital, retiring in 1991.
She was a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, Mohnton.
Rita is survived by her son, Mark R. Gruber, Robesonia; her daughter, Kristine M. Hahn, Reading; her brother, Francis J. Talarico, Shillington; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Deborah A. Gruber.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Benedict's RC Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, PA 19540. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
