THE VILLAGES — Andrew A. Reeves Sr., 81, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011.

Mr. Reeves was born in Philadelphia and moved to The Villages from Kennesaw, Ga., in 2005.

He was retired from The Levitton Manufacturing Co. of Little Neck, N.Y., serving the southeastern region of the United States as sales director; a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War; member of North Lake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake; Hole in One Club; gatekeeper for two years at the Village of Duval; and enjoyed rescuing squirrels and releasing them into a life of higher education at a local college.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; son, Andrew A. Jr., Windemere; daughters Jeanne Murray, Thousand Oaks, Calif., Jayne Reeves, Florence, Mass., Susan Roberts, Atlanta, Kristin Reeves, The Villages; sister, Ginny Steen, The Villages; and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 24, at North Lake Presbyterian Church. Inurnment with full military honors, is scheduled at a later date at The Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ARC Association of Retarded Citizens, 35201 Radio Road, Leesburg, FL 34788.

Beyers Funeral Home and Crematory, Lady Lake, is in charge of arrangements.

Andrew A. Reeves, Sr., 81, passed away January 13, 2011
at The Lane Purcell Hospice House in Sumterville, FL. Mr.
Reeves was born in Philadelphia, PA and moved to The
Villages in 2005 from Kennesaw, GA.
Mr. Reeves was retired from The Levitton Manufacturing
CO of Little Neck, NY serving the southeastern region of
the United States as Sales Director. He was a veteran of the
Korean War serving in the US Air Force. He was a deacon
with The First Presbyterian Church in Morrisville, PA and
The Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, GA. The
longest serving President of Trenton Country Club, Trenton, NJ, The President's Cup Club Champion of Trenton Country Club, Trenton, NJ., official starter for the Cherokee Country Club Golf Course, Atlanta, GA; member of Northlake Presbyterian Church, Lady Lake, FL; and Hole in One Club. He was a gate keeper for 2 years at the Village of Duval. He enjoyed rescuing squirrels and releasing them in to a life of higher education at a local college. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
