BRIGGS, Kimberly S. - of Burt, age 47, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30, 2010 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Pastor Bob Leming officiating. Burial to follow at Cook Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2-8 p.m. and on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Kim was born August 19, 1963 in Saginaw, Michigan to Carl and Judy Briggs but was parented by Walt and Delores Nowak. She graduated from Birch Run High School in 1981. Kim was an avid NASCAR and Jeff Gordon fan. She enjoyed collecting blue glass and Beanie Babies, snowmobiling, fishing and camping in Manistee. Kim enjoyed the companionship of her faithful dogs, Twinkie, Bubba and Little Man. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: soul mate, Carl Delong; siblings, Troy (Kim) Briggs of Albee, Kevin Briggs, Kevin (Anne) Strizynski of Sanford, Mike (Lori) Briggs of Flint, Mike (Pamela) Nowak of Montrose, Timothy (Misty) Tyndall of Burt, A.J. (Amy) Nowak of Birch Run; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
