Douglas "Doug" Gene Moschkau of Colfax, died on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Doug was born February 12, 1952 in Forest Lake, MN, the son of Edward and Edith (Hulbert) Moschkau. Doug attended Memorial High School in Eau Claire and graduated in 1970. During high school he lettered in wrestling and also enjoyed boxing. Following graduation he worked for Pepsi Co. in Eau Claire and married Elissia "Joyce" Eisberner on August 8, 1970 in Eau Claire and they moved to Manitowoc where he worked at the ECK Foundry. They were married for 30 years. Later Doug became a union carpenter and worked with Carpenter's International Local 87 in St. Paul, MN. Doug also started his own construction business, A-City Construction. Doug married Roxie Kreyer on October 9, 1999 at The Little Brown Church in Vale, Iowa. She preceded him in death. Doug was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. Doug will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
Doug is survived by his seven children, Andrea Hunter, Eau Claire, Doug (Gretchen) Moschkau, San Antonio, TX, Heather Moschkau, Eau Claire, Kayla (Caleb) Lombard, Elk Mound, Megan (Erromenos Evans) Noel, also of Elk Mound, Michael Noel, Colfax and Wayne (Jackie) Rothbauer, Hudson; six grandchildren, Jacob Moschkau, Sarah Hunter, Madeline Moschkau, Brooklyn Hunter, Adrian Lombard and William Lowery; four brothers, Gary (Patricia) Moschkau Osseo, Charles (Patricia) Moschkau, New Auburn, Glen (Peggy) Moschkau, Eau Claire and Duane (Pamela) Moschkau, Eau Claire; two sisters, Janet Moschkau, Mora, MN, and Joanne Moschkau, Cambridge, MN; three step brothers, Dan (Deb) Soden, Champlin, MN, Randy Glenna, Ham Lake, MN, Mike (Cherri) Soden, Alexandria, MN; two step sisters, Vicki (Chuck) Tyler, Champlin, MN, and Cindy (Leonard) DeBroeck, Milan, IL.
Doug was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Mike Glenna; wife, Roxanne Moschkau in 2008; brothers, James and Richard Moschkau.
Per Doug's request private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorials.
Smith Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
