Peggy Gayleen Butt Twitchell, 46, Boise, formerly of Blackfoot, died Aug. 11, 1992, at St. Luke's Hospital in Boise of cancer.

She was born June 11, 1946 in Blackfoot, to George Spencer and Margaret Viola Olsen Butt. She grew up in Blackfoot and graduated from Blackfoot High School. She also graduated from Ricks College and received a Bachelor's Degree from Idaho State University in math and education.

ON Sept. 9, 1966, she married Denney Brent Twitchell iin Idaho Galls LDDS Temple. They moved to Boise in 1974. She taught at the Boise YMCA Preschool for several years and did volunteer work at Taft Elementary School and Hillside Junior High School.

She was an active member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include her husband of Boise; two sons, Alvin L. Twitchell and Bruce F. Twitchell, both of Boise; her parents of Blackfoot; and a brother and sister, Parley Butt of Seattle, and Clara Jones of Idaho Falls.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Boise LDS 4th Ward, 2600 Hill Road, with Bishop Garry Davis officiating. The family will meet with friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Relyea Funeral Chapel in Boise. Burial will be in Dry Creek Cemetery in Boise.
