Dr. Parker passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at her residence. She was born Dec. 27, 1972, to Bill and Patricia Binkley of Walnut ridge, Ark. She graduated from Walnut Ridge High School as valedictorian of the class of 1991. Christy earned her doctor of veterinary medicine degree from Mississippi State in 1999. She practiced at Cullman Veterinary Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The family would like to send sincere appreciation and thanks for all the support and prayers and to Omega Hospice for their tender care.
Survivors include her parents; husband, Jimmy Parker; twin sons, Will and Tom Parker; daughter, Sara Parker; 2 brothers, Keith (Kristy) Binkley and Frank (Brandy) Brinkley of Arkansas; father and mother-in-law, Darrell and Ernestine Parker; sister-in-law, Mary (Danny) Thornton, all of Vinemont; 4 nieces and nephews; host of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Christy Parker Memorial Education Fund for Sara, Will and Tom Parker at Peoples Bank of North Alabama.
