Robert Edward Guzman

Reverend Robert E. Guzman, Sr., 75 of Greenbrier, Arkansas, went to be with his Savior and Lord
Jesus Christ on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Born in Welsh, LA he was a son to the late Robert and Rose Guzman.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Loretta (Mueller) Guzman; daughters Donna Lowry of Westlake, LA, Tina Roberts and Denise Chesson of Greenbrier; sons Ricky Stephenson of Port Arthur, TX, Robert E. Guzman, Jr. of Quitman, David Stephenson of Greenbrier and Darryl Stephenson of Alexander; eighteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers: Raymond Guzman of Springhill, FL, Ralph Guzman and Kenneth Guzman both of Lake Charles, LA ; sisters Rose Theresa Frances of Glenmora, LA, Rozanna Moore of Lake Charles, LA and numerous friends.
Robert started the F.G.B.M.F.I Chapter in Lake Charles, LA, of which he served as president for several years, after which he resigned and was ordained into the ministry on April 13, 1975. He pastored the Westlake Christian Center in Westlake LA for seven years. He also pastored the Calvary Church of Quitman, the Soda Valley Freewill Baptist Church in Greenbrier and the Faith Unlimited Church in Thornburg, LA. Robert served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict and was privileged to be selected for a goodwill tour around the world, while serving.
Service will be at 2:00 pm, on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier with Bro. Michael Burden and Bro. Billy Merritt officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at McNew Cemetery in Greenbrier. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
