The funeral for FloydE . BartonJr ., 53, Southville Road, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam, with the Rev. Lawrence Cotter officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Barton died Sunday in the emergency room at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, Potsdam, following a heart attack.
Calling hours are this afternoon and evening at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Parishville or Potsdam Volunteer Rescue Squads.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ann; a son, Nathan, Parishville; two daughters, Mrs. Tony (Theresa) LaPointe and Mrs. Peter (Lisa) Marks, both of Potsdam; three grandchildren; his parents, FloydE . and Beulah Barton , Brasher Falls; four brothers, Wayne and Arthur, both of Norfolk, and James and Ted, both of Brasher Falls; two sisters, Mrs. Francis (Sally) Derouchie, Helena, and Marie McCarthy, Piercefield, and several nephews and nieces.
Born in Massena on Nov. 3, 1938, a son of FloydE . and Beulah Besaw Barton , he married Ruth Ann Bradish on July 2, 1960, at Holy Cross Church, Hopkinton, with the Rev. Albert Plante presiding.
Mr. Barton served with the Army from November 1961 to November 1963. He was employed with General Motors Central Foundry as a machine foreman.
