Born Aug. 20, 1926, at McClellan, Ark., to the late Len Cephus and Edna Lewis Woods Allen, she had lived most of her life in Mississippi County. She was a charter member of the New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church at Wyatt and attended the First Assembly of God Church in Charleston.
On July 2, 1946, she married Harrison Ray Marshall who preceded her in death on July 16, 1981.
Survivors include: one son, Daniel Ray "Danny" Marshall; four daughters, Rita Clardy, Sheila Pullen, Cathy Powell and Elsie Brunck; two brothers, James Allen and Sam Allen; two sisters, Katie Green and Mildred Lester; 11 grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Virginia Taylor, Lennie L. Duncan, Evelyn Smith and Margie Hepler.
Visitation was scheduled at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where services were conducted. Her nephew, Ross Marshall, and the Rev. Gerald Penn, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church of Charleston, officiated.
Burial followed in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
Pallbearers were her grandchildren. Honorary pallbearer was Nina Heppe.
