Services were Sunday, October 22, 2000, at Houston First Baptist Church with Rev. Al Gaspard officiating. Burial was in Chickasaw Memorial gardens. Houston Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Lucius Bivens of Houston; Stephanie Collier of Nettleton; one son, Larry Stephen Bivens, Jr. of Columbus;three sisters, Barbara Edwards of Ruleville, Patsy Williams of Prescott, Arizona, and Sharon Lopaz of Forth Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, Arianna, Brianna and Maleigh Collier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Andrew Bivens and Joycelyn Vance Bivens.
