Mayola Miltenberger, 89, of Mesa. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, October 7 at the LDS Udall Ward Chapel, 525 E. Second Ave., Mesa, AZ. Mrs. Miltenberger passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2002.

She was married to the late Edwin John "Red" Miltenberger on July 12, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Preceding her in death were sisters Louise Preston and Bess Ericksen. She has one living brother, M.R. "Scully" Rogers (Lu), and a brother-in-law, F.W. "Bill" Ericksen. She was known as "Aunt May" to 11 nieces and nephews, 38 great nieces and nephews, and 11 great-great nieces and nephews.

Mayola had a Master's Degree in social work and served as the Executive Secretary for the Relief Society General Presidency of the LDS Church for 22 years. She was also instrumental in developing the LDS Social Services in Arizona, California, and Idaho.

Visitation will be at Bunker's Garden Chapel in Mesa on Centennial Way, Sunday, October 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on Monday, October 7 at the LDS Udall Ward Chapel from 8:30 to 9:15 am. Graveside services will be at the Snowflake Cemetery at 4:30 pm, October 7, 2002.
