Bio addition below submitted by an anonymous visitor:
Cora Hoops was born July 1875 in Maries Co., MO, the daughter of George Walton Hoops (1841-1877) and Mary Ann Brown (1848-1885). On 12 October 1897 in Washington Co., AR, she married Arthur Phillips Murphy (1870-1914), son of William Hugh Murphy and Sarah "Sallie" Kanada. She was Arthur's second wife. Arthur's first wife was Sarah "Sadie" Calvin, from whom he was divorced in 1894. Cora died 15 February 1902 in Phelps Co., MO, where Arthur practiced law, and a few years later Arthur married his third wife, Jessie S. Boren. Arthur went on to serve two terms in the U.S. Congress as a representative from the 16th District of MO.

(The information above appears correct as stated with the exception of Cora's mother's maiden name. All sources I have consulted lists her name as Rowden rather than the stated Brown.)

The marriage of Cora and Arthur Murphy was announced in the October 22nd, 1897 issue of the Pulaski County Democrat:

Young Murphy, incidentally, was married a few days preceeding the Williams' trial. He and Cora Hoops were joined in matrimony October 12th at Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The bride and groom are popular young people and have hosts of friends here who wish them joy unconfined and prosperity unbounded. The groom is the talented junior member of the law firm of Murphy and Murphy at Crocker, Mo., and the bride is the accomplished sister of Mr. J. L. Hoops, a successful merchant of Crocker.
