Mrs. Nancy Lydia Woodworth, 83, widow of George W. Woodworth and resident of Franklin county since she was 11 years old, died Thursday morning, Nov. 13, 1941 at the home four miles Southwest of Williamsburg. She had been ill four days, death resulting from a stroke.
Nancy Lydia Stephens was born March 26, 1858 in Washington County, Ohio, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stacy Stephens. She came with her parents to Kansas, and settled on a farm four miles Southwest of Williamsburg. Since then she has been a resident of that neighborhood. She was married to Woodworth at Garnett July 12, 1882. He died January 5, 1930. Surviving relatives are three children, E. Wayne [Woody] and Harry P. Woodworth of the home, and Mrs. John Baldwin, Bellingham, Wash., seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Charles Downing 704 North Oak is a niece, and Miss Grace Bird of Ottawa, a great niece.
Mrs. Woodworth was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist church for over 60 years. The funeral was Sunday at 2 p.m. from Agricola Methodist church, with Rev. H. P. Basquin officiating. Interment was in Agricola cemetery.
