*** ADDITIONAL FAMILY NOTES ***
"Following their marriage, the family lived in Caswell, Granville (Ledge of Rock), and Person, North Carolina. Larry and his family immigrated to Kentucky between 1854 when his daughter Louina was born in Granville, North Carolina, and 1857, when his son James Monroe was born in Hopkins County, Kentucky.

There were at least four Madison sisters who married in Granville County, North Carolina, and moved to Hopkins County, Kentucky in the mid 1850s. Three Burton brothers (Jesse, John Richard, and Larry Talbot) married three Madison sisters.

Larry appears to have received a Kentucky Land Grant of 24 acres in Hopkins County; the land was surveyed January 4, 1859 and was on the Deer Creek water course (Book #56). By 1860, they were living in Webster County, Kentucky, but they also lived in Hopkins County where his daughter Parthenia "Polly" was born in 1861.

His will was probated on April 27, 1871, in Hopkins County, Kentucky."
