Services for Lavonne Bolton will be at 2 p.m. on January 22, 2011 at St. James People's Church at 1008 Berry St., Pineville with the Rev. Ernest Huber officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial, Pineville under the direction of Boyce Community Funeral Home.
Mr. Lavonne Bolton, 72, of Alexandria, passed away on January 19, 2011 at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Bolton was a former member of the U.S. Army National Guard, owner of Bolton's Body shop for 30 years and attended The Pentecostals of Alexandria.
Mr. Bolton was a loving father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Alice Brady Bolton, wife, Susie Basco Bolton; one grandchild, Miranda Delrie; one great grandchild, Jace Calhoun.
Survivors include his wife, Lanelle Miner and her daughter, Angie Miner; daughters, Janet Bolton-Fontenot, Deanna Bolton-Morton and Devona Bolton-Malone; sons, Gerald Bolton and Greg Bolton; brothers, Willard Bolton, Aaron Bolton, R.J. Bolton and Walker Bolton; sisters, Maxine Brown, Yvonne Stuckey and Robbie Clark; twelve grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
