Services were held Sunday for the Rev. Thomas Jefferson Fowler, retired Baptist minister, former superintendent of education...The Rev. Mr. Fowler was 97.
Prominently identified with Attala's educational system, as well as religious circles, he taught school for 50 consecutive years and served as superintendent of education for three terms. Widely known and respected through the county and state, he remained interested in public affairs, though confined to bed by infirmities of many years...
